Abbie Westgate
Abbie Westgate is a former UK police sergeant and served for six years. She was incredibly passionate about her work and was promoted within three years, but fell seriously ill a year later from stress, burnout and trauma caused by events in her personal and professional life.
On her road to recovery, Abbie discovered a completely different approach to healing than the one she was taught in the police - working with the body/somatics and the nervous system.
This became her new passion and two years later, she walked away from what was once her dream job to run her own coaching business - guiding frontline workers to become more resilient to stress and burnout using the same modalities that supported her.
Abbie is also writing a book about her experiences and training as a somatic breathwork practitioner.
