This episode dives into the concept of giving ourselves permission to pivot and embrace change, even when the future feels uncertain. Through reflections on life’s unexpected challenges, such as grief, career transitions, and single motherhood, the conversation highlights how these moments can lead to a renewed sense of purpose. We explore how embracing change allows us to follow what truly lights us up, no matter where we are in life.
Our discussion also focuses on the importance of trusting our inner voice during times of transition. Letting go of outdated expectations and stepping into the unknown with courage offers a new way to redefine success and fulfillment. It’s an inspiring reminder that it’s never too late to pursue a path that aligns with who we are now.
Alyssa Smith
Alyssa Smith is a resourceful, positive, and articulate champion of women on their unique paths to awakening and renewed purpose. Pivoting from a lifetime in education, and still leading workshops for teachers and leaders worldwide, she is a Life Purpose and Career Coach on a mission to inspire women to heed their own quiet inner voices above all others.
After a brief but tumultuous period as an international educator going through grief, the beginning of a divorce and single motherhood, and ultimately a career change, Alyssa discovered her own renewed purpose: to inspire women to unapologetically seek and pursue what lights them up now, rather than sentencing themselves to careers and lives belonging to past versions of themselves.
She sees profound beauty and power in women’s cloudy and vulnerable moments of awakening when they realize they are ready to pursue a different path, even if it hasn’t revealed itself fully.
Her superpowers include undiagnosed ADD, her navigational skills in foreign countries, her endless ideas, energy, empathy, warmth, connecting others with the right people, seeing the heart of issues, and listening.
